Short version: be a person other people are glad to have met. The rest of this page is what that means concretely, and what happens when somebody does not manage it.
Be who you say you are
- Use your own recent photographs. Not a model, not a friend, not you from twelve years ago.
- State your own age. Lying about being over 18 is the fastest permanent ban on this app.
- Your name does not have to match a document. Your face does have to be your face.
Respect how people describe themselves
- Use the pronouns on someone's profile. They are on every card for a reason.
- Do not ask a trans person about surgery, their body, their birth name or "what they were before". If it would be rude to ask a cis person, it is rude here.
- "I don't date [x]" is a preference. Telling someone they are not really their gender is abuse. The first is allowed; the second ends your account.
- Nobody owes you an explanation of their identity, their orientation or their history.
Never out anyone
Screenshotting a profile or a chat and sharing it outside this app, telling someone's family, employer, landlord or community about them, or threatening any of that to get something, is the most serious rule on this platform. It ends your account on the first occurrence, and where it amounts to extortion or criminal intimidation we will assist the police.
Many members here are not out. Treat every profile as told to you in confidence, because it was.
Consent, in chat and in person
- No unsolicited sexual photographs. Ask first, accept no as the answer, and do not ask twice.
- A match is not consent to anything. Neither is a reply, a meeting, or a previous yes.
- If someone stops replying, that is an answer. Do not make new accounts to reach them.
No commerce
- No offering or requesting paid sex or paid companionship.
- No asking members for money, loans, gifts, crypto or "investment help". This is the most common scam on dating apps in India, and we treat it as fraud.
- No promoting your business, channel or other platform.
Not allowed, at all
- Anybody under 18, in a photograph or on the app.
- Hate speech or slurs, about gender, orientation, caste, religion, region, disability or HIV status.
- Threats, stalking, or repeated contact after being told to stop.
- Nudity or sexual content in profile photographs. Chat is between two consenting adults; a profile is not.
- Impersonating anyone, including us.
- Sharing another member's photographs, messages or details anywhere.
How we enforce this
Reports go to a person. Depending on what happened we may warn, remove content, restrict messaging, suspend, or permanently remove the account. Age, outing, threats and sexual content sent to someone who did not ask for it skip straight to removal.
The person you reported is never told who reported them.
If it is you being targeted
- Block. It is instant, permanent until you undo it, and they are not told.
- Report, with the detail you are comfortable giving. You can block and report in the same action.
- Pause your profile if you want out of the decks for a while. Nothing is lost.
- If you are in danger, contact the police. If you would rather talk to someone first, the Safety Guide lists Indian helplines that are queer-affirming.
